Deontay Wilder Vs Tyson Fury 1 Stats

Fury to rematch Wilder in July for WBC heavyweight title

Trilogy bout between bitter rivals set for July 24

Wilder vs Fury 1 ended with a split decision draw after a 36-minute war

Tyson Fury will rematch Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title on July 24 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, it was announced on Tuesday.

The trilogy bout between the bitter rivals will be the third time they have met in the ring, with the first fight ending in a controversial draw in 2018 and the second fight ending in a seventh-round knockout victory for Fury in 2020.

Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) is coming off a sixth-round knockout victory over Dillian Whyte in April, while Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Robert Helenius in October.

The two fighters have a combined record of 73-2-2, with 63 knockouts, and their trilogy bout is sure to be one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year.

“I’m delighted to be able to announce that Tyson Fury will be defending his WBC heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight on July 24 in Las Vegas,” said Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter. “This is a fight that the world has been waiting for and I’m sure it will be a classic.”

“I’m excited to get back in the ring and prove that I’m the best heavyweight in the world,” said Fury. “Wilder is a dangerous opponent, but I’m confident that I can beat him again.”

“I’m looking forward to getting my revenge on Fury,” said Wilder. “He’s a great champion, but I’m the best in the world and I’m going to prove it on July 24.”
